SPAZZ LINKS

The following links are made up entirely of music/art related sites.
If you want tips on how to follow your favorite Wisconsin sports team... e-mail me.

Zach Brock
Zach Brock is one of current and founding members of Spazztet. He also leads his own great Jazz Groups.

Bobby Broom
Simply one of the greatest Jazz Guitarists of all time. Bobby has played with Art Blakey, Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, Kenny Garrett... the list goes on and on. He is a very inspiring figure for the members of Spazztet and has been kind enough to allow Spazztet to open for his trio several times.

Martyrs'
This is an incredible venue in Chicago to hear music. Spazztet has been fortunate enough to land a monthly gig at this great club. Other acts that have passed through Martyrs' include Andy Summers, Gov't Mule, Tim O'Brien and Adrien Belew.

Turtledown Music
Spazztet's booking agent.

Tautolgic
A Chicago area rock unit of various different sizes and styles. From one man acoustic to
eight piece with strings the songs range from biting sarcasm to, dare I say... sweet. The
website is excellent, complete with an up-to-date studio log of their latest recording.
Some of the players in their band might look familiar.. hemmm hemmm.

Sonido Isleno
This fantastic NYC latin Jazz group is under the baton of Ben Lapidus (composer, guitar, tres, war guitar, PhD). Their latest album "Tres is the Place" was one of the best releases of 2001. Ben has been a great support to Spazztet. A secret member almost... He and his girlfriend Teresita housed and fed the band on Spazztet's Fall '01 tour.

Matt Ray
Matt Ray is an in demand pianist/composer (he also knows how to play some Grateful Dead songs on the guitar) in the NYC Jazz scene. He recorded a great album with Rodney Whitaker on bass and Gregory Hutchinson on drums.

David Zoffer
David Zoffer is an amazing composer/pianist/guitarist/probably something else that we don't know about/teacher/A+++++ friend. David helped set up a show with his band DZ Differential and Spazztet at the great Johnny D's in Boston and he is always willing to give 3rd party perspective to any perceived tribulations or victories Spazztet may experience.

Brian and Connie T. Eyster
Brian's spirit and approach to music influenced the creation of Spazztet. Brian and Connie live near Boulder Co. You can see them occasionally walking down the street together wearing their Spazztet T-shirts. If you like dogs and polls, you'll love this site.
